ABOUT THE PROJECT

Title
Risk Analysis & Interregional Standard

Description

EMERGE unites Puglia, Molise, Albania, and Montenegro to jointly analyze risks, standardize responses, and implement innovative solutions for shared environmental challenges.

Title

Why This Matters

Long Description

Environmental risks such as floods, pollution, erosion, drought, and other ecosystem-threatening hazards affect the partner territories across borders. Because these challenges are interconnected, fragmented responses are less effective and make it harder to support consistent risk-management decisions.

EMERGE addresses this need by building a shared evidence base and an interregional framework to support the governance of risk management in Puglia, Molise, Albania, and Montenegro. Within WP1, the project identifies and prioritises environmental risks and develops a common standard to guide subsequent project actions.

This section brings together the main WP1 outputs: the risk catalogue, the sector-specific analysis, and the interregional standard that supports a common approach to environmental risk management.
